    We are at 4D Moss Lane, Altrincham. WA14 1BA We are situated in the centre of Altrincham next to the bus terminal and Metrolink terminal. Tesco is opposite our school and car parking is available here for 3 hours. The nearest public car park is in the Stamford Quarter. Parking | Stamford Quarter GMPTE have many bus services operating here... Please visit www.http://www.GMPTE.com From the terminal: Exit left onto a little passage that takes you up to Moss Lane. We are directly in front of you, situated between the Cancer Research Shop and the Tre Ciccio restaurant and above Cardwells Dance School and Moss Studio on the second floor. ​ From Tesco Walk towards the town centre, across the railway bridge with the ice rink on your right in the direction of the town centre. We are the second door on the left, situated between the Cancer Research Shop and the Tre Ciccio restaurant and above Cardwells Dance School and Moss Studio on the second floor.

    We are next to Altrincham Interchange which offers all three options.
  • Do you offer individual lessons?
    We only offer group lessons, something we have done successfully for over 30 years.
  • How much are lessons at the Altrincham Music School
    From 1 September Lessons are £15.00 for the hour. Pupils pay ten weeks in advance either online or cash payment
  • Can I pay by card, cheque or Paypal?
    We only accept online or cash payments
  • What happens if I miss a lesson?
    All homework is sent by your WhatsApp group at the end of the lesson. You will lose the fee for that lesson but the place in the class will remain yours
  • How often are lessons at the Altrincham Music School?
    Classes meet at the same time every week and are one hour long during school term time.
  • Do I have to practise between lessons?
    Yes you will need to set aside time every day in order to progress. Your teacher can explain more.
  • Do I need a piano to learn?
    Beginners will need at least a touch sensitive keyboard with regular size keys to start learning and this is a good way to begin without a large investment. We can advise on makes and models.

  • When are the holidays at the School?
  • What exams can I take?
    We offer Trinity College London exams. Their graded exams from Initial to Grade 8 allow learners to perform to their strengths; the flexible structure enables learners to gain recognition for their own unique skills as performers. We do not offer ABRSM exams.
  • Do you offer theory exams?
    No, we do not offer theory exams because all necessary theory is delivered as part of the weekly lesson plan and there is no need to sit a Grade 5 theory exam in order to take Grade 6-8 practical exams.
  • Can I participate in other events with the School?
    You are able to sit Trinity College London exams at the School several times a year. and we also have regular concerts. Pupils enter into Music Festivals in Bowden, Alderley Edge and Hazel Grove.
  • Are you open during school holidays?
    We take the same holidays as local state schools so you do not need to worry about missing lessons during school holidays.
  • What happens if I want to leave the School?
    We hope that you will never want to leave but if you do then we just need five weeks written notice as in our Terms and Conditions.
